Focus at Nine : Local History Meeting on 26th May 2021
Members thoroughly enjoyed Éamonn Ó Flannagáin's vivid memories of the Bombing of the North Strand in 1941. His account, from the perspective of a young child who lived in the target area, was read for us by Joan Sharkey. Members then shared their own memories and family tales of that night of death and destruction, and its aftermath.
