Raheny Heritage Society in association with Raheny Library are delighted to present the society's Annual Ray Wickham Lecture, 'Family History Research: The Good, the Bad and the Unexpected', on Wednesday 16th June at 7.30pm via Zoom.

The lecture, presented by our member Joan Sharkey, is aimed at both complete beginners as well as those already using the key Irish family history resources which are available online.

Joan has been an active member of the Raheny Heritage Society since it was founded in January 1987 by the late Ray Wickham and a former Honorary Secretary of the Society. She is the author of St. Anne's The Story of a Guinness Estate, published by The Woodfield Press in association with Dublin City Council in 2002. Joan started working part-time as a professional genealogist in 1999 and became a member of Accredited Genealogists Ireland (AGI) in 2003, and is its current President.
