Clontarf Historical Society Talk by Rhona McCord entitled 'A garden city: Dublin Corporation’s housing scheme at Marino’. Rhona tells the story of the Irish state’s first attempt at public housing, at Marino in north Dublin in 1924. Rhona is a PhD student in TCD and is working on her thesis ‘Post World War Two Suburban Development of Dublin’ Her talk is based on her research to date.
Talk starts at 8:15 pm in Parish Resource Centre, St John the Baptist, Clontarf Road. Entry fee of €4 for non members.
