We are delighted to announce that the Society's first public talk of 2023 will take place on Wednesday 17th May 2023, in person in Raheny Library at 6.30 p.m.
Our member, Mary O'Callaghan, will give an illustrated talk about the 1853 Watercolour Album of Edward McFarland.  The album chronicles the artist's journey from Marino Demesne out to Howth, and then back to Clontarf Castle.
Learn about Dubliners' clothes, jobs, hobbies and modes of transport.

Mary is a member of Raheny Heritage Society, has a history degree and The Lord Mayor's Certificate in Local Studies. She is also the author of 'A North Dublin Journey: A Study of an 1853 Watercolour Album'.

This event is part of Bealtaine Festival – Ireland's national celebration of the arts and creativity as we age.
