The RHS are delighted to support St John the Evangelist Church in Coolock celebrate Heritage Week. On Saturday 16th August our member Douglas Appleyard will lead two guided tours; 2.15pm The Graveyard, and 3.45pm The Church, followed by a peek inside the Conacher Organ.

On Sunday 24th August 2025 at 2.30pm, our chairperson Joan Sharkey will lead a guided Tour of Raheny Graveyard. The Tour provides a rare opportunity to enjoy this iconic feature in Raheny Village, which is rarely open to the public.

We will have displays of old photos of Raheny and its environs.  If you have any questions on local history or genealogy there will be lots of people on hand to answer them.

We are delighted to invite you to join us for our first in-person meeting since March 2020.
This will be our Local History meeting which will run from 8.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. on Wednesday 28 September, in the Community Room, Raheny Court. (This is a sheltered housing development situated in Avondale Park, behind Raheny Library.)

 

We will provide hand sanitiser and wipes, but you are welcome to bring any additional supplies you would like for the tables & chairs. And of course, wearing of masks and any other precautions is at your discretion.

Our first Family History meeting will be on the 14th September, followed by our first Local History meeting on the 28th September.

We would like to thank all our members who assisted at and visited our stand at this years Rose Festival in Saint Anne's Park. It was great to be back in person again after two years.

Our meetings will continue on Zoom for the moment, but we are actively looking at the practicalities of resuming in-person meetings in the near future.

Hope you can join us at either our meetings or talks over the coming months. New members always welcome.
