   “History of Clontarf Yacht and Boat Club” by Ian Sargent\, honor
 ary secretary of the club.  The club\, one of the oldest yacht clubs i
 n the country\, was founded in 1875 at a time when the area was about 
 to undergo significant change. Along with Clontarf Cricket Club and Cl
 ontarf Rugby Club\, with which it was closely associated in the 19th a
 nd early 20th century\, it is one of the institutions that gives Clont
 arf its special character.\n The club has also invited everyone to com
 plimentary tea/coffee etc afterwards. Lecture at 8.15pm in Clontarf Ya
 cht and Boat Club\, Clontarf Road. An entrance fee of €4 to individu
 al talks applies to non-members.
